About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director of Paid Media - Digital Advertising, to lead our omnichannel digital advertising efforts across a variety of platforms. In this role, you will drive performance, oversee multi-platform campaigns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and effective media strategies that engage travelers across all touchpoints. 

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in paid media with a deep understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem, including social platforms, programmatic advertising, and emerging trends. A strong grasp of omnichannel strategies is essential to create cohesive, customer-centric campaigns that deliver measurable results.

What You’ll Do

  • Omnichannel Media Strategy Development: Lead the strategic creation and execution of integrated, omnichannel paid media strategies to achieve business objectives Ensure campaigns are data-driven, customer-centric, and aligned with overall marketing goals.  

  • Platform Expertise: Oversee and optimize campaigns across key digital channels and programmatic platforms, ensuring strategies remain innovative and aligned with the latest industry trends. 

  • Campaign Optimization: Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance, implement real-time optimizations and maximize ROI across channels.  

  • Budget Management: Oversee and allocate multi-million dollar paid media budgets effectively, ensuring resource optimization and adherence to financial targets.  

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with creative, analytics, and brand identity teams to align on campaign goals, messaging, and deliverables, creating a cohesive customer experience.  

  • Creative Collaboration: Partner with creative teams to provide insights and feedback that align with media strategies. Support the implementation of Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) by ensuring media plans and targeting strategies are aligned with creative outputs.

  • Agency Relationship Management: As the main POC with our media agency, it’s critical to foster a positive and collaborative relationship to ensure successful outcomes and to stay ahead of industry trends and access beta opportunities.  

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor a paid media specialists, fostering professional growth, encouraging innovation, and maintaining a high-performance team culture.  

  • Performance Reporting: Deliver detailed reporting and actionable insights to stakeholders, highlighting campaign successes, opportunities for improvement, and the impact of omnichannel efforts on business goals.  

 

Skills & Experience 

  • Experience: 10-15 years of progressive experience in paid media, digital advertising, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.  Experience on both agency or brand side is a plus.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in social advertising (e.g., Meta, TikTok), prospecting and retargeting campaigns, and programmatic platforms Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret campaign performance metrics and translate them into actionable strategies.  

  • Strategic Thinking: Proven track record of developing innovative paid media strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.  

  • Budgeting Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale media budgets effectively and efficiently.  

  • Industry Awareness: In-depth knowledge of digital marketing trends, technologies, and emerging platforms.  

  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience coaching and developing high-performing teams.  

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).  

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and strategies to diverse audiences.
