About the Role

You will be the go-to-person for any and all operational matters across our offices in both Sydney and Melbourne. As we are a growing business, our operational needs change constantly. This means to be successful in this role, you will need to be agile, thrive on change, and genuinely enjoy working in a team and learning and developing new skills. While this role will begin as a 12-month fixed term contract, there is potential for the role to become permanent.

Due to the speed at which our business moves, we can’t give you an exhaustive list of the work to expect in this role, but we can guarantee that no day will be exactly the same. To help give you a glimpse of what life will be like as our Office Manager, some key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring each office is running smoothly and efficiently. This means being a key contact for all office suppliers, and making sure all our employees have access to a safe and functioning workspace, the necessary equipment for their roles, and a constant supply of healthy (and not so healthy) snacks. All of this, while upholding our values and complying with our procurement guidelines.
  • Organising company events for Sydney and Melbourne (including social, teambuilding, and CSR events). At AvePoint, our high-performance culture is balanced by our commitment to recognising and celebrating our achievements as a team. This responsibility means you will play a key role in helping us to maintain a positive and value driven office culture in both Sydney and Melbourne.
  • Assisting with management and onboarding of Melbourne based employees, including organising first day swag, setting up workstations and equipment, and introducing new starters to the office and Melbourne based team. You will be the first-person our new employees meet on their first day, and their go to person for any teething issues.
  • Assisting our Marketing Manager with coordination of marketing events, such as ordering and organising branded merchandise for distribution at marketing events.

What you will bring to our team:

  • Experience as an Office Manager or a natural affinity for organisation and execution.
  • A can-do attitude and a positive approach to work life balance and building office culture.
  • Great personal skills, the ability to talk to anyone about anything
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change and go with the flow.
  • Self-motivated with conviction to see things through to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctual, reliable and able to comfortably work to fixed deadlines.

Benefits we offer:

  • Company paid private health insurance (hospital + extras!)
  • Hybrid working arrangement, only 3 days a week in office, 2 days at home
  • Additional paid days off (Your Birthday Day, Family Day, Holiday Half Day, Community Outreach Half Day!)
  • Mobile Phone Plan Reimbursement
  • Monthly and annual employee awards programs

AvePoint is proud to employ talent from many different backgrounds, experiences, and identities. We are committed to fostering an environment where people can bring their whole selves to work and feel a sense of belonging, and we continue to work toward creating a workforce that represents the diversity of our customers and communities.
