What we do:

Working as part of the Data Partnerships APAC team and reporting into the lead director in Sydney. This role is based in either our Sydney or Melbourne office (depending on candidate location).

The role focuses on the growth and evolution of TTD ANZ’s retail data offering spanning across pipeline generation/development whilst also managing new and existing retail data providers across ANZ. Part of your time in the role will also include a broader focus on enablement and adoption across the wider ANZ data partnership offering working closely with ANZ business teams. Crucial to success in this role will be maintaining strong collaboration with our local, regional and global data partnership teams and business teams.

Data Partnerships across APAC is a small and highly impactful team focused on driving one of TTD’s top-most strategic initiatives in ANZ. 

What you’ll do:

  • In collaboration with the lead director, develop a clear retail partnership development strategy across AU + NZ based on market dynamics and business opportunity.
  • Act as a figurehead for the Trade Desk in AU + NZ market, representing TTD’s partner ecosystem and strategic objectives (especially across retail data/retail media).
  • Identify, pursue and close retail partnership opportunities; collect feedback on existing/potential utilization from agency teams ; conduct research on top prospects
  • Initiate retail partnerships based on strategic planning or clients’ needs in the Australian and New Zealand market, and prioritize based upon business impact
  • Drive optimal relationship structure for retail partnerships in alignment with Product, Legal, Finance, and other internal stakeholders 
  • Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with management, wider business team and with partners to report on status of future opportunities 
  • Facilitate communication internally and externally related to partnerships (demands, strategies, roadmaps, operational requirements) 
  • Provide sales enablement support to drive adoption of TTD’s various data marketplace offerings, across areas such as retail, audience, identity and measurement solutions (including Unified ID)
  • Drive thought leadership and be a strong advocate for TTD in trade press, events etc.
  • Manage relationships with key industry bodies on data related priorities g. IAB or with a Retail Media focus

Who you are:

  • Min 10 years in commercial data, AdTech environments, working for a retailer/ retail media network, programmatic or media industries
  • Experience initiating and/or managing relationships with strategic partners, especially among the senior levels at retailer and/or ECommerce companies.
  • Self-motivated problem-solver comfortable wearing different hats and being able to shift gears quickly from highly strategic work to responding to tactical responses from the team
  • You'll need to be able to traverse C level strategy discussions with retailers right through to technical implementation discussions
  • Proven communication, questioning, and listening skills in formal and informal settings 
  • Comfort with fast-paced, dynamic working environment with shifting priorities 
  • Ability to build excellent rapport with internal (Legal, Finance, Product) and external stakeholder. Strong teamwork is a must!
