Embedded Security Engineer

Senior Staff Embedded Security Architect

What you will be doing:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Hardware and / or Embedded Software Engineer and Penetration tester to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the security of hardware and embedded systems through rigorous penetration testing and vulnerability analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks in hardware components and embedded software.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analysis of embedded systems (Physical and Logical security)
• Perform penetration testing of embedded systems to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to define security improvements and recommendations.
• Participate in the definition of security protocols and standards.
• Engage in hackathon events and other collaborative projects to foster innovation and creativity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in embedded systems or hardware security.
• Demonstrated participation in hackathon events or similar collaborative projects.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and hardware design.
• Knowledge of security principles and practices related to embedded systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hardware security tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of cryptographic principles and secure communication protocols.
• Understanding of IoT security challenges and best practices
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and standards.
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, Linux, or other embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of EV charging industry and protocols (OCPP, ISO 15118).
