Platform Engineer - Scrum Master

Yotpo’s Platform Engineering group. Our mission is to provide a platform boosting agility, speeding up time to market, and enhancing overall product quality and user experience.
Yotpo’s RnD teams have end-to-end ownership of the products they build; full ci-cd; no QA department(!)
Ownership has two sides: With freedom, comes responsibility. With autonomy, comes accountability.

1. ~2500-4000 AWS servers
2. 80% workload runs on spots
3.~2,000,000 requests per minute(!)

You are:

A Software Engineer who is also passionate about building processes and leading team initiatives. Experienced in Scrum, you excel in communication within diverse, international teams. You have a strong grasp of agile methodologies and are skilled at leading teams in delivering high-quality results efficiently. You have a technical background of DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and software engineering principles.

• You have experience leading cross-company initiatives and you enjoy it.
• You are a Software Engineer with 2+ years of Experience in Python / Java / Golang or similar. You love OOP design, design patterns, and clean code.
• You have a BSc in computer science - a must
• An autodidact - You are not afraid to dive deep into new technologies.
• You are a team player with a strong sense of ownership. We win together, We do what it takes, we figure it out, we help each other – and we win, as a team.
• Experienced with AWS and Kubernetes.

Bonus Points:

• Professional Scrum Master Certification (PSM) or equivalent
• Certification with AWS and/or Kubernetes
• Knowledge in Infra as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation). No manual labor here.
• Experience with Helm
• Experience in designing and building GitOps CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, ArgoRollouts, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent)
• Experience with Hashistack (Terraform, Terraform cloud, Consul, Vault, Nomad)
• Experience with CDNs (Akamai, EdgeCast)
• Experience with databases (MySQL/MongoDB/ElasticSearch)
• Experience with monitoring tools(Prometheus/Grafana/NewRelic/Coralogix)

You will:

• Facilitate and lead Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective).
• Promote agile best practices and continuous improvement within the team.
• Foster collaboration within the team, as well as with other stakeholders, to maintain alignment and focus on deliverables.
• Be a key player in driving Yotpo’s Platform Engineering team towards operational excellence.
• Act as a servant leader for the team, helping remove obstacles and ensure smooth project progress.
• Track and report on team progress using metrics and KPIs.
• Work with team members to manage dependencies and risks effectively.
• Support and encourage team autonomy, accountability, and ownership of deliverables.
