Key job responsibilities
This role sits on the AI Business Development team for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, and focuses on identifying business opportunities and problems and sourcing, vetting, closing deals, and managing the most promising AI technology companies. This role owns developing and executing strategic partnership initiatives with partner(s), negotiating and closing complex technology agreements, leads cross-functional efforts across Amazon to deliver on partnership commitments, and identifies emerging technology trends that could impact Amazon's business. The ideal candidate has solid business judgment, deep technology understanding, proven deal-making capabilities, and exceptional relationship management skills at the executive level.
A day in the life
• Serve as the primary relationship owner for partners, developing comprehensive partnership strategies and maintaining executive relationships
• Collaborate with Studios, Product, Engineering, and Business leaders across Amazon to define requirements and ensure successful execution of partnership initiatives
• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations for strategic technology partnerships, licensing agreements, and co-development initiatives
• Build relationships with key startups and venture firms to identify new partnership opportunities and technology trends.
• Prepare and present business reviews to senior executives on partnership progress, strategic opportunities, and potential risks
• Drive "Think Big" strategies to identify next-generation technology opportunities
• Work across Global Media & Entertainment, and Amazon more broadly (Devices, AWS, etc.), to find synergies
• Drive cross-functional efforts across Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, and Finance teams and identify and execute on process improvements.
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- 5+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- Experience developing, deploying and managing AI and innovation products at scale
- Experience working in startup / VC community
- Experience with technical partnerships and integrations
- Experience in the entertainment industry, including working with creatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
