Java Developer (SecLending) - Hungary, Budapest 

Team profile: The Securities Lending Technology Team is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of technology systems and processes related to securities lending activities. Securities lending is a process where investors temporarily loan their securities, such as stocks, to borrowers in exchange for a fee. The technology team plays a critical role in managing the workflow, risk management, and operations of the securities lending program. We have a strong, distributed agile developer team located in Budapest, London, and New York with around 30 people in total. The team works on major strategic initiatives for the Firm including software related hygiene items. We work in biweekly iterations. 

What you’ll do:

• Develop resilient and highly scalable systems operating in today's demanding financial environment

• Deploy solutions for and partner with our users: Securities Lending traders, strategist and regulation.

You have:

• Strong knowledge of Java, primarily within server-side development (at least 2 years of commercial experience) 

• A solid grasp of Garbage Collection

• A desirable understanding of multi-threaded Java programming

• Understanding that testing and documentation is critical to delivering high quality solution

• Bachelor or higher degree in a STEM field

• User level knowledge of Unix/Linux 

 Experience using relational databases (SQL)

• Python desirable

• Strong communication skills with proven ability to deliver high-quality software working in multi-person team

**This is a hybrid position, working 3 days per week from our Client's office in Budapest
