UX Designer, Chrome on Android

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in mobile UI, designing for consumer-facing products.
• Experience managing projects involving cross-functional and cross-team stakeholder groups.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile (Android and iOS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

In this role, you will approach tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for people. You will collaborate with teams of Designers, Researchers, Software Developers, and Product Managers throughout the design process from creating user flows and wire-frames to build user interface mock-ups and prototypes. You will also anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.

• Define the product/UX strategy and generate new feature ideas.
• Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of Chrome on Android's design system, across Mobile and Large Form Factors (e.g., tablets, foldables, etc.).
• Partner closely with other Designers, UX Writers, UX Researchers, Software Developers, and Product Managers to arrive at the best product ideas both internally in Chrome, and externally with Android and Material Design.
• Provide patterns, best practices, and guidance on interaction/visual design for different devices.
• Create artifacts, prototypes, and specs that enable developers to implement new features efficiently.
