Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About The Role:

We are seeking someone who brings an engineering mindset to solving technical problems. Experience in Client Platform Engineering and IAM Engineering is a significant plus. We aim to grow our team by adding versatile IT Systems Engineers who can tackle diverse technical challenges.

This role involves managing our existing device fleet and its management tools, leading strategic projects across multiple teams and quarters, and contributing to our long-term roadmap and planning initiatives.

What You'll Achieve:

Build the technical foundation that enables our team to shape the future with safety and security. Partner with Security and Operations teams to develop infrastructure that keeps our global team productive and protected. Design elegant, automated systems that scale with our growth. Set new standards for modern tech company security and support—from reimagining device management to implementing seamless access controls.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling IT systems at high-growth tech companies
• Experience in Client Platform Engineering and IAM Engineering
• Extensive experience managing Mac-first environments (Windows experience is a plus)
• Ability to write production-quality automation code in Python, PowerShell, Go, or similar languages
• Experience deploying and managing MDM solutions at scale, particularly Kandji, Intune, and Fleet DM
• Track record of implementing and managing SSO systems (Azure/Google/Okta) and SCIM for RBAC and birthright access controls

Nice to Haves:

• Experience implementing and deploying Zero Trust Architecture in corporate environments
• Pragmatic approach to balancing security requirements with excellent user experience
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment and building new systems
