About the Role 

The Principal, Business Development will be responsible for creating, managing, and expanding high-impact relationships across our carrier and broker partners with a focus on both strengthening existing connections and closing new accounts. This leader will work collaboratively with other Nayya team members to foster strong, multifaceted engagement with partners. By developing a deep understanding of each partner’s structure, goals, and challenges, the Principal, Business Development will strategically align Nayya’s platform to meet their needs, driving sustained growth and mutual success.

This role requires a strong understanding of our partners, a growth lens, the ability to influence, and exceptional relationship management skills across highly fragmented organizations. The Principal, Business Development demonstrates a thorough understanding of Nayya’s product portfolio and how multiple products can amplify outcomes.  

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Key Partner Relationships: Establish and nurture leadership-level relationships across various business units within partner organizations to drive strategic alignment.
  • Identify and Close New Strategic Accounts: Identify leads, prospect opportunities, and lead negotiations to establish new, high-value relationships.
  • Expand Existing Strategic Accounts: Work closely with current partners to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Nayya’s solutions.
  • Develop Partner-Focused Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that align with the unique needs and strategic objectives of each partner.
  • Monitor and Drive Account Performance: Track account health and performance metrics, regularly reporting key outcomes to leadership.
  • Strategize Account Planning and Forecasting: Create and manage account plans, incorporating revenue targets and forecasts to guide strategic initiatives.
  • Drive GTM Alignment with Partner Leadership: Coordinate with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure integrated go-to-market efforts.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven success in building and managing key accounts
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic accounts, or business development.
  • Proven experience in securing enterprise customers and driving growth through renewals and product expansions.
  • Consultative, partner-first approach with a high attention to detail.
  • Prior benefits experience is not required; however, relevant skills and a high aptitude for understanding partner needs are essential.
  • High initiative and the ability to work in dynamic environments.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as partner-facing presentation skills
  • Adept at understanding and articulating Nayya’s products, and mapping the respective value propositions to customer needs
  • Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, dynamic work environment


The salary range for New York based candidates for this role is $180,000-$210,000. We use a location factor to adjust this range for candidates that are located outside of geographic region of our New York office. Placement within the salary band is determined based on experience.
