We believe that the problems we solve today unlock the opportunities of tomorrow. The Lead Zuora Systems Analyst role will proactively improve and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Carta’s enterprise finance systems with a primary focus on Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, and related systems. The position will collaborate with and act as an advisor to the AR, Revenue, Finance and IT teams to implement subscription billing solutions that support the unique needs of various business units and stakeholders. The position will be the primary architect, developer, internal system admin and support contact for Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue (Revpro), along with other related finance systems. As the Lead Zuora Systems Analyst, you’ll work to: 

  • Gather requirements, design and architect, implement, and maintain configurations and customizations of Zuora applications to meet the evolving needs of the finance team
  • Support onboarding of additional business units and acquired subsidiaries onto Zuora Billing and related quote-to-cash systems, including supporting data migrations
  • Provide internal, ongoing system/technical support to Finance users, including training with a focus on superior customer service
  • Partner with internal users and stakeholders, assisting with data analysis, business process mapping, reporting needs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with business analysts to develop deep technical expertise in the complex processes, practices, and workflows of internal end users to deliver comprehensive automated solutions. 
  • Maintain proper system access for user roles, ensuring compliance with segregation of duties
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the accounting team for new system customizations and processes, ensuring high-quality deployments
  • Develop, document, and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data integrity, system integrity, and security
  • Responsible for the change management and release process of Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue(Revpro), and other finance applications, as and when required
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system functionality, customization, and integration
  • Support integrations with other enterprise apps like Zuora CPQ, accounting systems, payment systems, etc.

 

The Team You'll Work With

The Lead Zuora Systems Analyst role is an individual contributor position that will report to and work closely with the Finance Systems Senior Manager. The role will also collaborate with stakeholders across the company, including teams in finance, engineering, and business systems.

About You

A successful candidate for this position will demonstrate the following:

  • 5+ years of experience with Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue administration, configuration, and development including 3rd party integrations in complex environments
  • Experience supporting Zuora Billing modules: Customers, Product Catalog, Subscriptions, Billing & Invoicing, Payments, and Taxes
  • Proficiency in Zuora Billing administration: User access, HTML/PDF templates, Custom fields, Notifications/email templates, Workflows, Zuora APIs and Reports
  • Experience working in Zuora Revpro administration: User access, Data interface/sync, Custom attributes, File upload/templates, Data Augmentation, Period Open/Close, Revenue Contracts, and Reports
  • Proven track record of supporting technical revenue accountants in POB configuration, revenue management, troubleshooting, reporting, and journal entries
  • Understanding of Revpro schema, Data Query usage and ability to write SQL queries 
  • A strong understanding of the quote-to-cash (Q2C) business process and subscription business models including familiarity with revenue recognition and financial reporting concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (MIS, IT business/computer science, and/or Accounting)
  • Project management, including requirements gathering, system implementation, and system integration experience including effective cross-functional team collaboration
  • Strong analytical skills, exceptional written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and remain professional and flexible in high-pressure situations
  • Zuora Billing/Revenue Certification is a plus

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: 
 $164,538 - $194,750 in San Francisco, CA

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
