Staff Site Reliability Engineer

VGW is an interactive entertainment company, harnessing technology and creativity to deliver world-class, free-to-play games. 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering team in Krakow and are currently looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join the team.

In terms of our tech stack, our infrastructure is container-based, running on EKS, supported by Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFront, and S3 for front-ends. We provision infrastructure with Terraform and use GitHub Actions for CI/CD. Grafana and Honeycomb are core to our observability stack.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Extensive experience, with a proven track record of improving system reliability, scalability, and observability.
  • Deep understanding of observability and monitoring, leveraging tools like Grafana and Honeycomb to drive data-driven reliability improvements.
  • A strategic mindset and leadership skills, capable of driving SRE initiatives, mentoring team members, and shaping the team’s long-term function.
  • A proactive and autonomous approach, identifying areas for impact, navigating ambiguity, and influencing stakeholders without extensive guidance.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively across engineering teams, leadership, and product stakeholders to align reliability goals.
  • Incident response ownership, ensuring system availability and reliability by leading on-call efforts, mitigating issues, and implementing long-term solutions.
