We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team in Sydney.

The Finance Manager will play a key role in delivering reliable financial data to support decision-making, it will drive finance transformation projects and support finance operations related matters whilst ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly and statutory financial reporting, driving cost control initiatives, and enhancing operational efficiency. 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial statements, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards.
• Manage the monthly financial reporting process, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of financial information.
• Conduct monthly cost analysis and variance reviews to monitor financial performance, flagging areas of concern with the FP&A team.
• Serve as the technical accounting lead for complex transactions and accounting treatments, including drafting supporting memos.
• Implement and conduct finance transformation initiatives to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure scalability as the organisation grows.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance department by regularly reviewing existing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions for better financial management.
• Develop and maintain a financial risks matrix for the Group to identify and manage financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risk, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

What you will bring to the role:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics or Finance. 
• CA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA certified.
• 8+ years of overall accounting and finance experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role, finance transformation and treasury experience advantageous.
• In depth technical knowledge of IFRS, AASB and other financial regulations.
• Strong business and financial acumen. Demonstrated ability to proactively identify drivers in financial risks and recommend actions to mitigate.
• Self-motivated, a team player and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to assess and take meaning from relevant financial metrics and ability to take into account the commercial outcome of a decision.
• Strong financial reporting knowledge (including consolidation and foreign currency), advanced computer software skills, working knowledge of tax.
