Job Description

Our Central Services team in Toronto are currently looking for a Product Trainer to join the team. 

As a Product Trainer, you'll be responsible for the assessment, design and delivery of training and development for VGW to achieve business targets and success. Deliver training in a virtual or in person setting. Drive a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver and facilitate training and product knowledge courses for new hires and tenured staff within VGW. This includes but is not limited to:
    • VGW Brands and Products
    • Facilitate Onboarding Training of new hires
    • Deliver refreshers and upskill training programs
    • Product & Systems Training
    • Process updates
    • Org-wide Initiatives
    • Support all operational teams
  • Schedule and facilitate seminars, workshops, training reminders and self-paced training.
  • Conduct evaluations and assess training outcomes. Establish and report on results to evaluate program and initiative effectiveness to achieve business results.
  • Work in conjunction with L&D to develop training modules and programs for VGW.
  • Work in collaboration with the managers and team leads of the various lines of businesses to identify and close employee knowledge or skills gaps to achieve success.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Minimum bachelor level degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, or equivalent level of knowledge gained through higher levels of practical experience.
  • 2+ years experience in Learning & Development.
  • Consulting, relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to deliver training programs.
  • Knowledge of human resource organizational policies and practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
