We’re seeking an Employee Communications Lead who can bring clarity, consistency, and creativity to our HR and employee-focused messaging, while partnering with other business functions to help them level up their communications. This role requires a strategic thinker who excels at simplifying complex topics into engaging stories, that can work across all levels of the organization, manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines, and keep calm in a crisis.
In this role, you will work closely with a team of international communications experts in our Communications function, reporting to the Global Senior Manager for Internal Communication & Business Change. Your goal will be to ensure that our employee and candidate communications reflect our values, build trust, and create a great experience at every touchpoint.
Partner closely with HR and communications colleagues to align priorities, identify gaps, and establish a unified approach to employee communications that aligns with business objectives and brings cohesion to internal and external messaging.
Bringing a consistent voice to key HR-related comms across touchpoints such as recruitment, onboarding, and lifecycle messaging.
Improving clarity and accessibility of key documents and policies that employees need to thrive at N26.
Use your exceptional copywriting skills to refine and enhance internal policies and materials, ensuring employees have a consistent and intuitive experience.
Own the planning and execution of communications for key HR cycles, such as performance reviews, promotions, and other pivotal moments in N26ers journeys.
Act as the primary comms partner for the People Team, supporting initiatives such as comms training and project launches with clear and engaging content.
Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain a seamless tone of voice across our channels that builds a strong internal brand - reflected in consistent, impactful communication to employees - before expanding to external strategies.
Drive the planning and content creation of people stories for our external channels (Linkedin and Instagram)
Background:
Comprehensive experience in internal communications, people communications, and/or employer branding in a complex, hybrid, fast-paced environment across multiple markets.
Bachelor degree studies in Communications, Business Management, Human Resources or related field. Other certifications or training relevant to the role will help you stand out.
A mix of corporate and startup experience is preferred; if it’s in fintech or banking it’s a bonus.
Previous experience working with works councils or unions in-house. If this experience was in Germany working directly with Works Councils, that’s a plus.
Experience using social media to improve employer reputation.
Skills:
Strong verbal communication skills and native/first-language fluency in English, German language skills a plus.
Excellent writing skills in English, where you can easily adapt your style for a range of internal and external stakeholders
Exceptional ability to simplify complex topics and craft engaging, clear, and consistent messaging for diverse audiences at a variety of levels.
A process-driven mindset with a sharp eye for detail and experience in managing projects.
A proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders, and effectively working with diverse, cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.
Excitement about creating communication assets that inspire, inform, and elevate the employee experience.
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and be able to deal with ambiguity and handle sensitive situations with poise. .
