YOUR MISSION

Q-Commerce is the fastest growing category at Glovo. We are currently building a strong team to re-invent how consumers buy their groceries and any other product in their city, making it more convenient and easy than ever.

Be a key role in developing the Q Commerce Specialties Vertical in Portugal. Unlike a general supermarket that stocks a wide range of food and household products, a specialty store focuses on a particular niche such as organic products, bakery & pastry, ice-cream, alcohol stores or sweets. As part of this team, you will be responsible for creating the main pipeline and signing new stores aligned with the local growth strategy.

 

THE JOURNEY

  • Seal partnership with top/key accounts that will move the needles in Specialties vertical focusing on Outbound reach (cold calling, field sales, email communication) and/or Inbound reach (through marketing channels).
  • As owner of your own pipeline, you’ll make sure to prioritize your leads, guarantee alignment with Specialties Strategy, and update your trackers on a daily basis. 
  • Develop and manage partner relationships for all accounts in your portfolio, ensuring a fast, smooth, and high-quality onboarding experience.
  • Guarantee partners’ content quality by managing the partner’s assortment and pricing strategy when onboarding in Glovo. 
  • Actively collaborate with the Partner Management and Partner Support team daily operations to provide a seamless and positive experience for new Glovo Partners.
  • Negotiate commercial terms to ensure long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. 
  • Track and analyze sales performance, using insights to optimize strategies and improve conversion rates. 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities for business growth.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant hands-on sales experience, key contacts in the industry are a plus.
  • Hunter mentality with a proven ability to reach and influence key decision-makers.
  • Consistently exceeded sales targets in previous roles, demonstrating measurable achievements. A strong ambition to overachieve is a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Adaptable sales approach, capable of adjusting techniques to different client personalities and organizational structures.
  • Fast learner with a structured, methodical mindset; familiarity with CRM tools (such as Salesforce and Looker) is a plus.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with a strong "get things done" attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth and high-performance start-up environment
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (mandatory).
