Amazon is seeking a Program Manager who will be part of a group that's implementing fleet connected vehicle and safety technology programs supporting Amazon's current and future initiatives around fleet safety.
At Amazon we are building a world class last mile operation, significantly complemented by Delivery Service Partners (DSP). A DSP will hire and develop a team of high-performing drivers. The Last Mile team is hiring a Program Manager to execute strategic safety initiatives, coordinating cross-functional programs that integrate driver and vehicle safety across all functions of this fast-paced and growing organization.
Key job responsibilities
• Support the implementation of fleet safety technologies across the North America fleet
• Track and report on critical program elements (e.g., KPIs, incident management, SLA enforcement, etc.)
• Assist in executing the safety tech roadmap and global expansion plan
• Support vendor relationship(s) with safety technology partners
• Coordinate and participate in internal and external business reviews
• Track program goals and monitor performance alignment with overall business objectives
• Analyze and propose solutions for technical problems to improve program effectiveness
• Enable cross-functional communication and support change management to ensure alignment of goals and tasks
• Monitor key quality metrics and help implement initiatives to drive process improvements
• Execute program timelines and deliverables to meet critical business needs
• Collect and analyze metrics to support continuous improvements across connected safety technology programs
• Gather and organize feedback from program stakeholders to inform future safety initiatives
• Travel to occasional team offsites and visit delivery stations as needed (~10-15% per quarter)
A day in the life
As a Program Manager, Fleet Safety, you will support the Fleet Safety Programs team by executing critical safety technology initiatives and supporting key vendor relationships. This role will help implement new safety innovations for Amazon's last mile delivery fleet, enhancing driver and vehicle safety.
We seek a detail-oriented professional who can support a complex safety tech program working with multiple stakeholders including Last Mile Delivery, Global Fleet & Products, Amazon Delivery Service Partner Program and Tech Teams, Connected Vehicle Tech teams, Operations, Finance and Legal.
You should have strong program management and communication skills to work effectively across countries and markets. You will be responsible for maintaining strategic relationships, executing program roadmaps, and supporting vendor relationships to advance Amazon's vehicle needs. You will collaborate with and present updates to senior leaders, both externally and internally.
Amazon's Global Fleet and Products team is responsible for managing and growing the network of professional contract organizations that power Amazon's in-house last mile delivery service. Our partners work out of delivery stations across North America and are assigned delivery routes and packages 7 days a week that are delivered by their vans and drivers. While we continue to ensure that the appropriate vehicles are available for today's customer deliveries, we are also in the midst of a historic transition of one of the world's largest fleets into a highly electrified fleet. The team's mission is to provide the vehicles and services that enable Amazon to delight customers within our last mile operations.
About the team
The Last Mile Fleet Technology Products (FTP) team is responsible for a suite of products transforming last mile delivery safety and operational efficiency. Our mission is to leverage advanced technologies and analytics tools to build the world's safest and most efficient fleet.- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
