What you'll do:

We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Business Unit Lead - Core to drive growth across NinjaTrader’s core products and services. As the Business Unit Lead for Core Growth, you will help define and lead the growth strategy for our brokerage and investment products, working cross-functionally with teams in Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, and more to deliver an exceptional customer experience and drive business results.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a hands-on leader, and thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. This role is a great opportunity for someone who has deep digital and financial services experience and is excited to innovate and deliver best-in-class trading solutions to our customers. You will report to the President – Revenue & Client Services and work closely with senior leadership to accelerate our core growth initiatives.

In this role you will:

  • Manage to monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs for NinjaTrader’s core business unit
  • Drive results by managing the prioritization of Product and Engineering deliverables to optimize NinjaTrader’s core business revenue, operations, and growth
  • Help define and execute a strategic growth agenda for NinjaTrader’s core offerings through a customer-obsessed lens, leveraging customer feedback and industry research to deliver a differentiated value proposition to our users
  • Partner with Marketing to strengthen brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Technology teams to establish efficient operating workflows and service standards that ensure exceptional customer experiences
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks by partnering with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Foster partnerships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless operations and innovative solutions
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously explore new strategies and innovative technologies that will enhance our user experience for customers

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, preferably with experience in online brokerage, wealth management, digital banking, or a closely related business
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with full accountability for business (P&L) results, customer experience, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to navigate the competitive landscape, innovate, and execute against KPIs
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate strategic visions and business results to senior audiences
  • Proven ability to evaluate vendor offerings, negotiate contracts, and manage external partnerships
  • Deep passion for fixing issues, understanding customer pain points, and driving measurable improvements in the customer experience
  • Low ego, high EQ, and strong work ethic

Compensation:

The salary range for this role will be $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of up to 18%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).  

Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 23 days per year plus seven paid holidays. Additional details on our total compensation package and benefits are listed below.

Location: This role is based in Chicago, IL. There may be remote flexibility for exceptional candidates in the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Pennsylvania.
