We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Privacy Assistant to support our compliance and legal teams in managing data protection and privacy obligations. In this role, you will assist in maintaining compliance with data protection regulations, handling data subject requests, and ensuring that privacy policies and procedures are effectively implemented across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection regulations.
  • Support the handling and processing of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other privacy-related inquiries.
  • Maintain records of processing activities (RoPA) and assist in conducting data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs).
  • Assist in reviewing and updating privacy policies, notices, and internal guidelines.
  • Support the legal team in drafting and maintaining data processing agreements (DPAs) and other privacy-related contracts.
  • Help coordinate training sessions and awareness programs on data privacy across the organization.
  • Conduct research on evolving data privacy laws and regulatory updates.
  • Assist in responding to data breaches by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure best practices in data protection.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a data privacy, legal, or compliance role is desirable but not required.
  • Familiarity with privacy management tools and compliance platforms is a plus.
