Why we're hiring:

In this role, you will drive the integrity and quality of employee data, leading the development of advanced reports and data-driven insights to inform HR strategy. You will play a critical role in defining and implementing best practices for data governance within our HRIS systems. You will have extensive experience working with HR data, a deep understanding of data integration challenges, establish a process for ongoing data collection and clean-up activities, and adapt to the evolving needs of a global population. Delivery may include leveraging solutions that exist or are being developed with collaborating teams (e.g. GPDS Global People Data Solution) at WPP. Where other solutions are not available nor fit for purpose, you may need to design and deploy unique and interim solves.

What you'll be doing:

    • Develop and implement automated processes for data collection, cleansing, and validation from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy, maintenance and consistency
    • Collaborate with business partners and others to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and implement solutions to improve HR processes and decision-making
    • Design, develop, and maintain complex reports and dashboards using advanced analytics techniques to provide meaningful insights to stakeholders, including predictive modeling and trend analysis
    • Perform in-depth analysis of large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management
    • Support the integration and maintenance of data feeds between HRIS (e.g. Workday, Talent Tree, GPDS) and downstream applications (e.g., Culture Amp, Nadia), ensuring data consistency and accuracy across systems
    • Develop, communicate and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance
    • Gain knowledge of all People data and reporting related processes across the network Understand the objectives, scope, timelines, and ownership of all projects. Act as a global connector between these initiatives to help avoid duplication and complexity
    • Leverage the full potential of AI in people data & reporting, such as automating tasks and unlocking new insights
    • Collaborate on the Job Architecture framework, including regular data refreshes and global process and mapping/levelling criteria
    • In partnership with other global WPP people systems and programmes (i.e. Job Architecture & Workday at minimum), standardise and optimise people data structures and taxonomies
    • Facilitate WPP HQ translation and aid implementation of any future global WPP enterprise data solutions or tools (i.e., Workday). Facilitate transition from any current tools into new solution
    • Launch, train and support local market implementation of any new data related technology, system or tool. Create central resources such as trainings, standard operating procedures, timelines, RACIs, and engagement plans where necessary to support adoption
    • Lead, coach, and manage a global data analyst to support across deliverables and projects

 

Who you'll be working with:

You will report into the WPP Compensation and Benefits team, and work with data specialist teams including the Enterprise Data Group.

    • A background in people data and reporting with proven experience working in a complex, matrixed business environment
    • Ability to guide the work of others through your influence, which will be valued by your demonstrated expertise
    • Ability to manage highly confidential data with utmost sensitivity and appropriate data protections measures
    • Define goals and metrics, develop actionable plans and manage work to achieve desired outcomes
    • Comfortable working under ambiguous, changing conditions
