About the team

The AV Builds and Operations Team at Stripe is tasked with delivering best in class collaboration experiences for all Stripes globally. This role will manage the team responsible for the research and development of new AV experiences and standards, ensuring operational excellence of all existing office spaces, and rolling out our AV standards in new office builds or expansion of existing spaces.

What you’ll do

At Stripe, managers grow teams and inspire them to do their best work.  We’re looking for a seasoned leader to take our Audio Visual (AV) Builds and Operations team to the next level. This is a hands-on role that will continually assess the needs of our fellow Stripes, driving efficiencies and services that improve productivity. The ideal candidate will be a proven thought leader in the A/V arena with a strong customer mindset, leadership and communication skills, and experience with supporting the A/V technology for a large, global corporation.

Responsibilities

• Be proactive & knowledgeable on relevant technologies and products; and provide an ongoing forward-looking roadmap for our next 2-3 years’ solutions
• Drive consistent A/V capabilities for meetings and events for our organization, through the creation and distribution of best practices, procedures, and services
• Maintain a high bar for in office support
• Own and manage the design, procurement, installation, and sign off of new office builds and retrofits
• Create an atmosphere that fosters high performance and collaboration within the organization and with appropriate suppliers that emphasizes teamwork and accountability while rewarding initiative, innovation, discipline and operational excellence
• Develop strong customer/partner relationships. Establish yourself and your team as a trusted advisor/partner 
• Continuously manage customer expectations with regular communications and updates on events, technology strategy, performance concerns
• Direct and manage suppliers in the provision of technology products and services holding them accountable for high-quality outcomes
• Lead, grow, and mentor skilled AV producers, operators and support engineers
• Set clear goals and directions, and provide regular feedback on team members’ performance
• Travel to our offices as needed

Minimum requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience leading a Global AV Technology Team
• Prior experience delivering technical solutions in high growth environments
• Experience and comfort interacting with executives and senior leaders
• Working consistently and effectively in a collaborative environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• A healthy skepticism for the status quo and an unwillingness to settle
• Experience being a catalyst for positive change in a global organization
• Experience and comfort interacting with executives and senior leaders
• Experience empowering the team and leading with empathy and integrity
• Precise communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred qualifications

• CTS and/or CTS-D certification
• Q-Sys certification
• Dante certification 
• Experience with QSC and Crestron programming
