Overview:

Kaluza reimagines energy to bring net-zero within everyone’s reach. The Kaluza Platform enables energy utilities to unlock the full value of a radically changing energy system and propel us to a future where renewable energy is sustainable, affordable and accessible for all.

From automating and simplifying core operations including billing to create a lower-cost, higher-engagement experience, to optimising energy usage across smart devices in the home, we turn tough challenges into win-win-win outcomes for customers, suppliers and the energy system.

We have a strong flexible, hybrid working ethos, we aim to be as flexible as possible to balance work with life. As a company we come together annually for our conference and end of year celebrations!

We are seeking to establish a new function focused on ensuring that the performance of our product meets contractual deliverables and client expectations. Kaluza Platform Performance Assurance, or KPPA, will develop and monitor platform performance, both at a management and operational level. Where performance deviates from expected parameters, the function will carry out investigative analysis to help Kaluza understand the underlying causes.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be part of the Kaluza Platform Performance Assurance (KPPA) team and wider Kaluza data community where you’ll share knowledge, support other analysts and contribute towards the team's methodologies.

This role is critical to ensuring internal and external stakeholders have the necessary insights to make informed decisions about platform performance, product reliability, and improvements.

You will provide technical leadership to the team responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive platform performance reporting, management information dashboards, and data visualisations.

As the technical lead, you will ensure that all efforts within the team are aligned with Kaluza’s data strategy and best practice.

You will lead the development and management of high-level analytics, financial reconciliation, and performance reporting across our platform and portfolios.

Technical performance monitoring such as uptime, response time, error rates, and system load, ensuring they meet defined thresholds are out of scope for this department.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Build and maintain repeatable Management Information and operational insights into portfolio altitude performance, including financial and market reconciliation
  • Transform complex data sets into actionable insights, identifying trends, anomalies, and potential areas for optimisation, making them consumable for stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
  • Advocate for the adoption of best practices and tools to improve data integrity and reporting consistency, aligning to and inputting into Kaluza’s data strategy
  • Support the Performance Assurance analysts in developing their data visualisation skills

Is this the job for me?

Ideally you’ll have/be:

  • Experience within the energy industry or similar sectors, working in a Product led organisation
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with a deep understanding of the platform, or the ability to develop this
  • Experience working with SQL, Python, Tableau, Looker Studio & Databricks
  • Guide and mentor more junior analysts and lead the work in the various products and workstreams
  • Proven experience in building and managing performance reporting and dashboards
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to a non technical audience

From us you’ll get
