**About the Role:** This role is full time remote but requires extensive travel. In this position, you will support development and lead execution of Uber’s fleet operations expansion strategy and playbooks to deliver scaled deployment of AVs on Uber. You will work with many internal stakeholders, AV developers, incumbent fleet operators, and other ecosystem participants (infrastructure developers, regulators, real estate owners) to drive industry-leading asset utilization and up-time to deliver best-in-class fleet economics to our partners. **What You'll Do:** - Help define a comprehensive view for what it means to launch AV Fleets in new markets and codify the approach through playbooks - Define, coordinate, and oversee the end-to-end operational processes for launching and scaling AV services in new markets, including fleet management, logistics, data processes, and safety - Lead cross-functional project teams of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful delivery of AV Fleets market expansion initiatives. Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation - Partner with legal, safety, and regulatory teams to understand local laws, compliance requirements, and ensure that AV deployments meet all necessary regulations and safety standards - Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, stakeholders, and external partners to provide status updates, address challenges, and ensure alignment across teams **Basic Qualifications:** - Minimum 3 years AV Operations experience required - 3 years Operations Management or Program Management experience - Ability to travel frequently to support a field presence **Preferred Qualifications:** - 5+ years operating experience in an Autonomous Vehicle Operation - Experience launching and sustaining AV Operations in new markets - Strong organization skills - Experience managing complex projects with tight timelines, including leveraging project management tools to manage schedules, budgets, etc - Project management and implementation through principled execution, an understanding of operational factors, and their impacts on unit economics - Self-starter who thrives in an environment of ambiguity and can independently make informed business decisions. Partner management of both internal and external crossfunctional partner teams - Data-driven decision making, sound business judgment, and the ability to back your analysis up with relevant analytical thinking For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$99,000 per year - USD$110,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
