TripleLift is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, People Operations and Total Rewards to lead critical areas of our People function and ensure seamless employee experiences across the globe. This role will oversee a high-performing team responsible for payroll, benefits, immigration, onboarding, and recognition programs, and will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and supporting our global workforce.

This role is based in Detroit, MI or New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

Global Payroll & Compliance

  • Lead the global payroll function, with deep ownership of U.S. payroll operations including semi-monthly cycles, quarterly and annual variable compensation, and merit/promotion payouts.

  • Partner with Finance and external providers (e.g., ADP) to manage payroll compliance and employee tax matters across all TripleLift locations around the globe.

  • Oversee ongoing payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Benefits Administration

  • Manage the strategy, vendor relationships, and day-to-day administration of global benefits programs.

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for U.S. benefits, while partnering with regional HR contacts and vendors to support localized offerings.

  • Provide guidance and resolution support on employee benefits questions, escalations, and carrier interactions.

Immigration & Mobility

  • Serve as the company’s primary liaison for immigration strategy and case management, partnering with legal counsel and talent acquisition on work authorization and sponsorship processes.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration policy changes that could impact the workforce and communicate proactively with the Chief People Officer and relevant stakeholders.

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Administer global compensation processes in partnership with Finance and HRBPs, including support for pay band management, merit cycles, and promotions.

  • Support the development and execution of employee recognition programs aligned with TripleLift’s values and culture.

  • Partner on compensation benchmarking and pay equity analyses to ensure competitiveness and fairness.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Oversee onboarding operations to ensure a consistent, engaging experience for new hires globally.

  • Partner cross-functionally to optimize tools, processes, and communications that reinforce employee success from day one.

Data Integrity & HR Systems

  • Ensure data consistency and integrity across all People-based systems from role creation through employee exit.

  • Lead regular audits and partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Recruiting, Legal) to ensure TripleLift’s HRIS as the single source of truth.

  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative analytics to guide decisions and measure the impact of People programs and initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in People Operations or Total Rewards, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. payroll, benefits, and employment laws; experience supporting global teams and understanding international employment practices and systems.

  • Proven ability to lead and scale global People Operations teams in high-growth environments.

  • Experience managing HR systems (e.g., ADP, HiBob, CultureAmp, or similar) and driving data accuracy and compliance.

  • Strong project management and process design skills, particularly around building systems that scale with business growth.

  • A collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented approach with a passion for operational excellence.

US Jobs: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the TripleLift US salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of TripleLift’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Pay is based on various non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, and skills.

Salary range transparency$108,000—$162,000 USD
