This role requires in-person onboarding and travel to our San Francisco, CA HQ office during the first week of employment.

The Role

Okta is seeking an experienced Content & Enablement Specialist to support and accelerate the performance of our Sales Development (xDR) organization. This cross-functional role will have primary responsibilities related to content development, performance tracking and optimization as well as facilitating the delivery of critical onboarding content to our xDR new hires.

This cross-functional role will continually monitor Okta xDR best practices, industry sales development best practices, Okta xDR organizational goals and Okta product positioning updates to create & deliver all new hire onboarding program content. This includes onsite facilitation in Okta’s San Francisco headquarters approximately every 45 days [subject to change]. The Content & Enablement Specialist will also assist in Okta’s portfolio of tailored email cadences within the Outreach tool. The Content & Enablement Specialist will continually monitor Outreach xDR best practices for messaging, as well as industry email trends and email marketing best practices, plus updates to Okta product messaging and positioning to write & refresh high-performing sales email copy.

The right candidate is a skilled and efficient writer, content creator, and enablement facilitator, capable of quickly understanding instructional and session goals to produce on-brand messaging that is digestible for new hires and xDRs. 

What You'll Be Doing

Onboarding

  • In partnership with the Enablement team, create & continually update xDR Onboarding content including:
    • Schedule design
    • Strategy and design of curriculum, activities, and program measurement
    • Speaker scripts for facilitation
    • Creation and ongoing maintenance of all onboarding related assets
  • Establish & nurture cross-functional dialogue with Enablement, Marketing Automation, Product/Developer Marketing, Sales Engineering, and xDR Leadership to inform onboarding and ensure institutional processes/knowledge are followed during onboarding content creation
  • Determine & collaborate with guest facilitators for onboarding session creation & delivery such as xDR leadership, sales engineering, product marketing, and xDRs
  • Lead in-person onboarding facilitation for all week-long live cohorts in San Francisco along with onboarding specialist from the Enablement team
  • Work closely with the Sales Development Program Manager to ensure operational preparation for onboarding programs

Outreach Content

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Automation team to understand sequences that need to be built based on organizational needs and to drive Outreach workflow operational excellence 
  • Craft concise, genuine, and personalized email copy designed to engage the right contacts with the right message
  • Build sophisticated email flows that thoughtfully layer messaging and offers appropriate to the contact experience with Okta
  • Collaborate with relevant Marketing and Sales teams to build custom messaging sequences as necessary 

What You'll Bring To The Role

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years in facilitation or enablement experience, preferably in a technical environment  
  • 1+ years writing experience in a B2B context, preferably with a focus on technical audiences
  • 1+ year sales experience as an account executive or sales development representative
  • Passionate about driving the success of new hires and contributing to Okta’s growth through effective onboarding
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams across Enablement, Product Marketing, Marketing Automation and xDR Management
  • Sincere love for technology and a unique knack for transforming technical topics into accurate, compelling sessions and content
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, capable of distilling a broad message into productive messaging
  • Proven record of success driving sales growth through copy optimization
  • Highly organized, with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management skills, comfortable interfacing with multiple stakeholders or working independently 
  • Enthusiasm for cross-functional, collaborative work
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales automation tools, Salesforce and Outreach

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$90,000$134,000 USD
