This Workplace Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the facilitation of an ongoing delightful experience for all employees at Lyft's offices in NYC, Washington, D.C., and Mexico City. You will be based out of Lyft’s NYC office, a buzzing east coast hub that brings teams together across all business functions in the tech center that is Hudson Yards. A critical part of this role is to also support a team based in our smaller locations in Washington, D.C. and Mexico City, and this manager will be challenged to lead initiatives and drive impact across multiple markets, both domestically and internationally.

A successful Workplace Operations Manager at Lyft is able to confidently provide the highest level of operational excellence at all times. An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong executive presence and the ability to efficiently shift focus and adapt to the fast-paced nature of this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in facilitating an ongoing delightful employee experience by overseeing the consistent delivery of exceptional operational and facilities support in our various office and field locations
  • Manage all day to day operations for NYC, D.C., and CDMX corporate office locations and delegate tasks to Workplace Operations team members on site as needed
  • Manage a team of Workplace Operations professionals, provide coaching, guidance, feedback and structure to support their professional growth and development
  • This role requires regular travel to the D.C. and CDMX office locations (typically on a quarterly basis) to ensure teams are supported and operational standards are being maintained
  • Work closely with other Workplace Operations Managers on broader team initiatives, standards, and presentations to leadership
  • Identify and own corporate office project lifecycles in alignment with team OKRs
  • Manage relationships between property management and landlords
  • Manage all vendor operations and relationships including but not limited to; janitorial, food/beverage service, physical security and others as needed
  • Drive RFP/SOW process for new vendors, contract renewals, and transitions in close partnership with your Global Supply Manager
  • Oversee the management of the Zendesk ticket workflow for all locations and respond to escalated tickets as necessary  
  • Partner with the Physical Security team to ensure all security standards are in place and adhered to at all times. Receive, assess, solve for or escalate to the Director of Global Workplace Operations any escalated security and operational issues that arise in any location 
  • Partner with the Real Estate Development team to assist with corporate office improvement projects, facilitating workflows and taking project ownership as the onsite POC
  • Develop and maintain the operations budget for the NYC, D.C., and CDMX corporate offices
  • Partner with FP&A on monthly budget actual and forecast reviews, having a comprehensive understanding of monthly budget usage
  • Identify areas of improvement within the offices, and coordinate recurring maintenance, office upgrades, and construction as necessary
  • Partner with Executive Business Partners and Chiefs of Staff to facilitate executive office visits to ensure smooth travel and office logistics
  • Partner with Team Member Experience to produce monthly happy hours at corporate offices, along with additional ad hoc events that require onsite coordination
  • Ensure corporate offices remain compliant to Environmental Health and Safety standards

Experience:

  • 6+ years of customer service experience
  • 4+ years of Workplace Operations experience
  • Previous people management experience required

This role will be in-office at our New York Office β€” Team Members will be expected to work in the office 5 days a week.

The expected base pay range for this position in the New York City area is $104,000 - $130,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
