LUS External Affairs – composed of Public Policy, Marketing, and PR – plays an important brand stewardship and leadership role for the organization, acting as a voice of LUS and as a trusted representative of the company to clients and other partners. Lyft is looking for a Senior Manager of Partnerships and Content who will be a member of the External Affairs leadership team and play a critical role in business development and program support.

This leader will own ideation and execution of strategic partnerships and content development that position LUS favorably in the market and support broader lead generation goals for the business. The ideal candidate will have a campaign mindset and a proven project management skillset. They will expertly collaborate with multiple internal cross functional stakeholders to deliver against a robust external affairs strategy that leverages communications, marketing and policy to support business lead generation and establish LUS brand credibility in the global marketplace. In terms of core deliverables, the Senior Manager of Partnerships and Content will manage the annual global event program and an editorial calendar for the entire LUS team, as well as be responsible for content generation through internal and external collaboration. The position will also oversee a portfolio of industry partnerships, including LUS’ trade association engagement globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Annual Calendar of Events that will have a LUS presence and facilitation of strategic participation from internal cross-functional teams to enable lead generation and brand leadership
  • Design and execute a monthly editorial calendar with inputs from various internal stakeholders, including communications, marketing, policy, and enterprise. 
  • Manage engagement with a global network of micromobility Trade Associations
  • Curate and manage a portfolio of LUS Partnerships focused on a range of topics, including industry regulations, urban planning thought leadership and growth of micromobility to achieve larger climate and equity objectives. 
  • In partnership with internal cross-functional stakeholders, ideate and execute content partnerships to shape LUS brand reputation and new business opportunities
  • In partnership with internal stakeholders, design and execute LUS-led content campaigns, including a newsletter, that shape LUS brand perception and the public tender landscape
  • Strategically support lead generation for the Enterprise team, participating in the cross-functional pre-tender process and tender submissions.
  • Partner with senior leaders in operations, finance, supply chain, science and product/engineering to advance strategies for individual markets.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues in communications and marketing to bolster Lyft brand and content campaigns and ensure seamless coordination. 
  • Engage with a range of external stakeholders, including public sector partners, policymakers, industry representatives, enterprise customers to support program success and market expansion.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of campaign strategy and/or project management experience
  • Expert writing skills
  • Experience managing projects on a small team within a larger company is preferred
  • Experience managing direct reports in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing consultants and partnerships
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – ability to execute a project end-to-end when required
  • Experience working with public sector partners and strong political acumen
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a business environment
  • Familiarity with public tender processes preferred
  • Experience with urban transit and micro-mobility a strong plus
  • International experience preferred and language skills a strong plus
  • Role is based in Montreal with regular travel to current and target markets

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $140,000-$175,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
