Engineering Intern, CloudSecure (Summer 2025)

This is a 12 week internship program beginning on May 27th 2025 or June 23rd 2025. This internship is based in Sunnyvale, California, and will require a hybrid work schedule. Please note that we are unable to provide relocation assistance at this time.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to designing, developing, capabilities that will translate user-friendly search inputs into optimized queries on large data set. This role offers a unique opportunity to tackle real-world challenges in large-scale data set and cloud security, combining innovation with impact. 

• Assist in building and optimizing search interfaces for complex user intentions across diverse context domains. 

• Help design and implement features for querying large, structured datasets. 

• Collaborate on creating a cutting-edge security product for analyzing and managing large-scale network flow data. 

• Work with tools designed for cloud environments, enhancing the product's ability to handle large amounts of data securely. 

• Work with data engineers, security experts, and software developers to integrate security features into the search interface. 

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings to improve functionality and scalability. 

• Assist in exploring new methods to enhance the system's scalability, security, and data analytics capabilities. 

Experience:

• Currently enrolled in a full-time Master's or PhD Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date in Winter 2025/Spring 2026. 

• Experience with Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud services and platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of cloud architecture, data storage, and compute resources. 

• Exposure to data analytics methodologies and understanding of how to process, analyze, and visualize data to aid decision-making. 

• Ability to think creatively, pivot quickly, and tackle ambiguous problems. 

Plus Factors:

• Experience with Data Visualization, familiar with d3.js, SVG, Canvas, etc. 

• Familiarity with the ever-evolving JavaScript ecosystem: ECMAScript, TypeScript, Babel, Webpack, etc.

• Interest in learning about the design and testing of REST APIs.

• Experience with Git, subversion, or similar content versioning system.

• Familiarity of cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Interest in cyber security.

Compensation:

$ 47 USD
