Product Operations at Nubank

At Nu, many things are done from scratch. We understood that to offer the most transparent, fair, and intuitive financial products and services; we had to recreate them from our early days completely. We needed professionals who could navigate from business strategy to project management for this endeavor, from risk assessment to cross-team alignment. That's how and why our Product Operations team was born. A quarter Product Manager, a quarter Business Analyst, a quarter Management Advisor and a quarter… Something else? Product Operations Nubankers are the ultimate owners of Nu's operations, ensuring that projects and processes run efficiently.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analysing processes through data exploration, raising improvements and points of concern that may impact business performance and ensuring smooth running of operations with management of different stakeholders;
  • Design and implement efficient operational processes that align with product goals;
  • Lead and manage projects aimed at improving product operations, set timelines, allocate resources, and ensure project deliverables are met;
  • Being responsible for effectively communicating, aligning and engaging people from inside and outside your team. You will build bridges between different areas of the company;
  • Actively contribute to defining, monitoring, prioritising and communicating your team's strategy and objectives;
  • Stakeholder management, work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that operational processes support product strategy and goals;
  • Create strategies for developing and improving products and services;
  • Define, structure and lead improvement projects within the business unit; 
  • Leading processes to define team/business unit objectives and targets; 
  • Define and implement tools and processes to track and give visibility to key KPIs;
  • Monitoring and improving the performance of operations.

Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent experience is often preferred;
  • Familiarity with project management, process improvement and data analysis tools and methodologies;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically;
  • Good written and oral communication with all levels of the company, from executives to Customer Support, in all areas in English and Spanish;
  • Participated in complex and critical projects from start to finish, involving different topics and variables, from business regulations, legal, financial or product;
  • An understanding of the regulatory environment in Colombia and the broader Latin American financial markets can be beneficial.

Our Nu Way of Working

Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of ​​expertise. For every eight or twelve weeks of remote work, one will be at the office.
