Our work ensures that the heart of Microsoft’s customer data platform is healthy, running well, and that issues are mitigated quickly and efficiently. We are innovating to detect, root cause, and fix issues using AI (artificial intelligence) and ML (machine learning). This is critical for service quality for millions of Microsoft consumer, education, and enterprise customers using Copilot, Office applications, Teams, Windows, Bing, and Surface devices.
We are looking for a Principle Software Engineering Manager who embraces the cultural values of inclusion and belonging and drives to do the following:
Technical Innovator– You dive deep into our current architecture, deeply learning how our current systems work. You develop and evangelize plans that balance customer requirements, cost to implement, cost to run, and business implications. You have experience applying AI and ML to make clear improvements and impact.
Collaborator – We work with teams across the division. You strive to understand the motivations and goals of the teams we’re working with and work towards collaborative solutions that result in a better outcome for our customers.
Coach – Work with each person on your team to help them to do their best work and grow. You define and foster an identity for the team that includes a reputation for high quality, reliability, and inclusivity. Define the business goals for the team then create and execute on a plan to meet those goals.
This role requires you to be onsite 3 days a week in Microsoft's offices in Redmond, WA. By applying to this U.S. Redmond, WA position, you are required to be local to the Seattle area and relocation does not apply/is not provided for the role.
