Technical Program Manager, Android Studio

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in project management.
• Experience in technical program management, stakeholder communication, agile project management, mobile app development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in working on operating systems/platforms with knowledge of software projects development and integration.
• Experience in purposing solutions, managing dependencies and cross-functional issues, with identification of need to develop or improve tools.
• Experience in Application Programming Interface (API) Design, Developer Tools and Android Libraries.
• Excellent communication, people management and problem solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

• Represent the team’s goals and deliverables throughout Android, with other Google teams and throughout the ecosystem of Android partners.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and set clear expectations about responsibilities and common goals.
• Co-author success metrics and ensure goals are achieved by managing schedules, team deliverables, and communicating status to stakeholders.
