About Vercel:
Vercel’s Frontend Cloud provides the developer experience and infrastructure to build, scale, and secure a faster, more personalized web. Customers like Under Armour, eBay, The Washington Post, Johnson & Johnson, and Zapier use Vercel to build dynamic user experiences on the web.
At Vercel, our mission is to enable the world to ship the best products and that goes hand in hand with creating an environment where you can do the best work of your life.
About the Role:
You will work with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps, and product managers, to ensure that our development tools, workflows, and documentation are of the highest quality.
When applying, please include a writing sample that showcases your ability to explain technical concepts. This could be a blog post, tutorial, or documentation you’ve created. Applications without a writing sample will not be considered.
What You Will Do:
Ensure we ship solutions we’d use ourselves:
- We are design partners alongside building the product. We dogfood and test our latest features to find pains or papercuts. We have a refined taste for what makes great DX. We should be using the product every day, testing changes before things go live.
- Ensure our docs must be easy enough for beginners to navigate and understand, while also powerful enough to support our deeply technical products.
Grow and educate our community of developers:
- The most popular developer tools have helpful, positive, growing communities. Developers can talk to other developers to get help. They feel heard and supported. They learn about how to effectively use the product from community experts.
- Share best practices with the community, by creating canonical, high-quality examples of how our products work. From this hands-on building, we learn what is working (or not working) and share it back with the product teams
Ensure customer problems have hyperlinks with solutions:
- Figuring out solutions to customer problems is also not a solo mission. It’s highly cross functional. We must be truth seeking. Sometimes this means documenting workarounds. Give customers a path forward.
- Having hyperlinks is how we follow up with customers to close the loop.
About You:
- You bring at least five years of experience as a Developer Relations, Developer Experience Engineer, or related role, with a proven track record of creating impactful documentation
- You know frontend tools such as TypeScript, Next.js, and Vercel
- You are proficient in MDX, Markdown, and Git workflows, enabling you to create efficient and interactive documentation
- You excel in communication and collaboration, thriving in a team environment and contributing to a positive workplace
- You quickly adapt to new domains, learning and articulating complex concepts into clear, comprehensive content
- You focus on putting the reader first, ensuring documentation is accessible and engaging
- You understand and apply various content types effectively in your technical writing
Benefits:
- Great compensation package and stock options.

- Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
