Canada Customer Fulfillment's (CACF) Amazon Customer Excellence Services (ACES) team is seeking a BIE to support country-wide projects and new processes at scale to support Amazon’s explosive growth within Canada. In this role, you will partner with retail, Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA), SCOT, PerfectMile, transportation, and software/DE/ML teams to drive visibility and to support innovation across Canada’s supply chain. The position provides opportunities to influence one of the highest visibility/high impact areas in the organization.
Are you interested in building analytical solutions for CACF ACES? This position is for a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to scale up our data projects to next level. This position requires experience in business intelligence solutions, hands-on on data engineering and data science practices, the ability to collaborate with various teams, and excellent statistical and analytical abilities.
Key job responsibilities
- Building and managing benchmarking metrics for Amazon’s fulfillment practices both internally and externally against best-in-class operations
- Gathering and analyzing data across business functions to establish global standards for supply chain and product fulfillment
- Developing scripts to process data to support business analysis, benchmarking, and optimization efforts
- Generating complex queries to dive deep on process issues
- Innovate to improve customer experience and continuously remove cost from our fulfillment network
- Collaborate with BI/Data Engineer teams and drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources to continually improve data quality
- Research machine learning algorithms and implement by tailoring to business needs and test on large datasets.

About the team
Canada Customer Fulfillment (CACF) ACES was founded to accelerate the expansion and improvement of the country’s end-to-end supply chain by closing the capability gap between CA and the US and fueling CA’s high topline growth.- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience
- Expert SQL skills and proficiency in Python/R
- Experience using data to create insight, drive business decisions and influence leadership
- 2+ years of experience as a data scientist or data analyst in a high velocity, data-driven environment
- 2+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience
- Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- MS/MA or higher in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Experience with AWS solutions such S3, SageMaker and Redshift

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
