Software Engineering Manager, Google Play Apps Experience

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with mobile technologies (e.g, Kotlin, Ketpack Compose, MVVM architecture).
• Experience building and recruiting for remote teams and collaborating across organization boundaries and constraint.
• Java, Distributed Systems, People Management, API Development, Team Building experience.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

• Lead a team of software engineers on Google Play's product platform.
• Work closely with the teams in India and San Francisco.
• Drive technical projects and provide technical leadership to inspire team to innovate, design and implement new experiences on Google Play.
• Develop and grow talent through hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers. Additional manager level responsibilities as applicable.
• Partner and collaborate with related engineering teams, product management(PM), UX, and program management to prioritize, plan, execute and launch high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
