Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with performance characterization and software development.
  • Experience with computer architecture.
  • Experience in C Programming.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with emulation platforms, FPGAs, or silicon bring up or RTL waveform analysis or simulation.
  • Experience with hardware accelerators for embedded processors.
  • Experience with software development tools: version control (git), compilers (gcc, clang), build tools (make) or software debug tools (gdb), hardware debug tools (JTAG/TRACE32).
  • Experience with Android, Embedded Linux, Little Kernel.

In this role, you will develop and execute a performance validation plan for multi-media imaging Intellectual Property (IP) of Google's mobile SoC. You will need to have a background in embedded programming, computer architecture and camera imaging pipeline/mobile SoC design.

  • Work with architects and performance verification lead to develop emulation and post-silicon verification plans to ensure the performance quality of the product.
  • Become familiar with the programming model for one or more IP in a custom SoC. Develop and validate the functionality of benchmarks required by the performance verification plans.
  • Execute the performance testing plans in emulation and on silicon with the developed benchmarks.
  • Debug discovered performance issue by facilitating hardware performance monitors and analyze collected performance statistics with architects.
