Operations Risk and Compliance (ORC) protects Amazon’s businesses by implementing scalable risk management solutions that foster continued business growth across multiple compliance programs.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative compliance leader who thrives in dealing with ambiguity and able to independently drive efforts to change the “impossible” to possible. We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager to manage the resources of the Operations Risk and Compliance organization, driving the development, maintenance, evaluation, and enhancement of processes that optimize compliance reviews and audits of Amazon’s business. The ideal candidate can set an operational vision, get alignment from cross-functional leadership, then develop the detailed designs that bring the vision to light. The Manager will work with partner teams to ensure timelines are met in support of worldwide launch activities. You think creatively to solve complex business challenges and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done.


Key job responsibilities
- Be a leader that develops processes and unblocks obstacles to ensure they deliver results.
- Be a designer that takes a vision and figures out how to deliver against it; delivering value today, while road mapping to flex/scale for the future.
- Be customer-obsessed and prioritize internal and external customer needs. You advocate for them with stakeholders, constantly prioritize ways to not only remove pain points but offer something better.
- Take Calculated Risks, using data to make decisions. You aren’t afraid to adjust as you learn or as situations change.
- Identify and document clear detailed business requirements.
- Engage with partner teams (business, legal, tech) to identify regulatory, compliance, or other risks, providing risk subject matter expertise (SME) to influence product design.
- Ensure compliance awareness within each product lifecycle.
- Guide senior leadership on balancing risk management concerns and mitigations with business product roadmaps.- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
