Join Our Global ERP Rollout: ERP Finance Data Migration Consultant

As we continue this journey, we're seeking an experienced ERP Finance Data Migration Consultant to join the Maconomy Global ERP rollout program, working with our EMEA and NA delivery team.

In this role, you'll be a key member of the Maconomy Data Migration Team, providing your expertise in Maconomy/ERP, finance, and accounting to lead the migration of data from legacy systems to our centralised global ERP solution.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead Data Migration Strategy: Collaborate with global program, stakeholder, partner, and project teams to ensure successful Maconomy Core implementation in EMEA and NA.
  • Integrate Tax, Legal, and Statutory Requirements: Work with Design and Functional Leads to understand TLS business requirements and their impact on data migration strategy and solutions.
  • Manage End-to-End Data Migration: Oversee all data migration activities (legacy data analysis, mapping, ETL development, cleansing, validation, and transfer) to ensure best practices, adherence to the global template, high standards, and on-time delivery.
  • Guide Master Data Management: Collaborate with WPP Shared Service Centre (SSC) Master Data Management Teams and Operating Companies' Data Leads to ensure understanding of the Maconomy data model, migration strategy, upload templates, data definitions, relationships, constraints, and cleansing requirements.
  • Monitor Data Quality: Track data cleansing progress to ensure quality targets are met.
  • Oversee Migration Execution: Manage migration dress rehearsals, the data migration cutover plan, and post-go-live support for data issues.
  • Optimise Data Migration Tooling: Collaborate with the partner/SI Technical Data Team Lead to agree on the most effective and efficient tooling for data migration processes, considering long-term requirements.
  • Maintain Data Documentation: Maintain and regularly review the Data Dictionary, Mapping Document, and Code Translation Document.
  • Create and Update Documentation: Create and update all necessary technical, data, and design documentation.

 

What you'll need:

We're looking for someone with a blend of education, experience, and skills that will enable them to thrive in this role. We understand that experience comes in many forms, and we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single qualification listed below.

  • Education & Professional Development: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. An advanced degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CA) is a plus.
  • ERP Implementation Experience: Significant experience in ERP system implementation projects (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Maconomy) in a functional consultant, finance lead, implementation lead, or similar role. A strong understanding of ERP data models and migration strategies is essential.
  • Finance Process Expertise: A solid understanding of core finance processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Data Migration Skills: Familiarity with data migration tools and technologies (e.g., SAP Data Services, Informatica, or similar ETL tools) and experience with data cleansing, validation, and transformation techniques.
  • Database Knowledge: A solid understanding of relational databases and SQL queries.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You should be comfortable translating technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa.
  • Leadership & Initiative: Demonstrated leadership and self-direction, with a passion for solution building and a proactive approach.
  • Global Experience: Experience operating in complex, multi-business, language, and geographic environments. Knowledge of the professional services/advertising business domain is highly valued.
  • Strategic & Hands-On Approach: The ability to operate both as a strategic thinker and a hands-on contributor.
