What You'll Do

Epic Games is seeking an experienced Game Designer to join our dynamic team and contribute to various aspects of game design with a focus on season passes across our ecosystem. In this role, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to shape and refine season pass features, balance game rewards, craft engaging experiences, and ensure a compelling player experience.

In this role, you will

• Own the design and implementation of various major features revolving around season passes and rewards for our games ecosystem, including but not limited to Fortnite, Rocket League, Fortnite Festival, and LEGO Fortnite
• Effectively communicate project vision to team members of all disciplines, collaborating with product management and design teams to ensure player satisfaction and overall game health
• Set and maintain high-quality standards for season pass designs, in-game economies, and actively participating in big-picture decisions to drive superior results
• Create clear, structured design documents and drive collaborative, iterative prototyping processes, both paper-based and in-game
• Utilize data-driven insights to inform design decisions, adjust live balance in real-time, and react quickly to changing project needs while driving effective solutions

What we're looking for

• Experience shipping multiple titles as a game designer with expertise in various aspects of design such as season passes, battle passes, monetization, game economy, player rewards, and game balance
• Strong design implementation experience in the context of seasonal passes, economy, or monetization
• Deep passion for multiplayer games with a wide breadth of game knowledge and understanding of player motivations
• Experience with multiplayer cooperative games, systems design, analytics tools/languages/processes, and visual scripting is a plus
• Ability to react quickly to changing project needs and directions, along with strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
