Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 10 years of experience in business operations or similar, with experience in optimizing organizational effectiveness.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in developing and driving a portfolio of organization effectiveness programs, defining and delivering on quantitative and qualitative outcomes/impact.
  • Experience creating and executing on a communications strategy that leverages existing and new channels and spans a variety of stakeholders across all levels of experience and influence.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships, including collaborating across cross-functional teams, influencing perspectives to drive alignment, and demonstrating thought leadership.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill ideas, strategy, and data into easy to understand language.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Developer Experience team's goal is to bring professional developers into Google's ecosystem by providing them with productive and scalable developer experiences. The team delivers an integrated suite of developer products, resources, and ecosystem programs (e.g., communities, accelerators) that helps developers build broadly accessible experiences for users. The team also oversees thes Open Source Program Office (OSPO) to help guide open source strategy, shape industry principles, enable external community contributions, and support healthy open ecosystems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $208,000-$296,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Deliver executive and industry communications that enable business growth. 
  • Establish a reliable and visible cadence for portfolio reviews, decision making, prioritization, and resource management.
  • Drive measurable program performance gains correlated to execution velocity.
  • Initiate and lead multiple organizations through pivots needed to address shifts in business trends and priorities. 
  • Lead strategic planning framework for a program portfolio including direct influence over resourcing decisions, planning cadence, and planning stakeholders.
