We are seeking a forward-looking Principal UX Designer to spearhead our Experience Design & Innovation initiatives across our enterprise transformation efforts. As a strategic design leader, you will define and champion the future vision of scalable, enterprise-wide transformation experiences, services, and tools that serve our diverse, global business landscape. You'll leverage advanced Generative AI technologies and human-centered design principles to create innovative solutions that accelerate organizational change at scale. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in experience design, design systems, and enterprise software with a proven track record of leading large-scale UX initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes. You'll partner with senior stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into elegant, user-centric solutions while building and mentoring high-performing design teams. We're looking for someone who excels in strategic thinking and storytelling, demonstrates sophisticated design solutions through their portfolio, and brings a leadership style that balances vision with pragmatism. Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Lead enterprise-wide experience design strategy and innovation initiatives
• Develop comprehensive transformation experience roadmaps aligned with organizational goals
• Champion the integration of Generative AI solutions in transformation processes
• Design and maintain scalable frameworks for organizational change
• Build and mentor high-performing design teams
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and innovation
• Present and advocate for design solutions at executive level
User Research and Analysis:
• Conduct fast-paced, comprehensive user research to understand the needs of transformation leaders, agile teams, and employees across different levels of the organization
• Analyze user behavior and feedback to continuously improve the playbook's effectiveness and speed of implementation
• Use insights to inform and refine the transformation experience roadmap
• Measure the success and effectiveness of UX innovations
User Experience & Innovation
• Architect the UX design for high-velocity transformation tools and playbooks
• Create intuitive, AI-enhanced interfaces and dashboards for transformation tracking
• Design data visualization solutions that support swift decision-making
• Develop adaptive learning and change readiness assessment tools
Technical Leadership
• Collaborate with Central PXT and Business Line Employee Experience and AI/ML teams to design systems that scale across global business units and integrate advanced capabilities
• Lead rapid prototyping and testing of new solutions
• Ensure seamless integration of AI functionalities with human-centered design- Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- 10+ years of design experience
- Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution
- Proven experience in designing for AI-enhanced products or services that drive rapid change
- Understanding of agile transformation principles and organizational dynamics
- Proficiency in UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and rapid prototyping tools
- Experience with real-time data visualization and dashboard design
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions swiftly and clearly- Experience in rapid organizational transformation projects or agile transformation roles.
- Familiarity with GenAI technologies and their applications in accelerating business transformations.
- Expertise in agile methodologies, design thinking practices, and lean UX principles.
- Experience designing for scalability and enterprise-level solutions in high-velocity environments.
- Knowledge of change management frameworks and their application in digital transformations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
