Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and flows and electronic design automation (EDA) tools and methodologies.
- 5 years of industry experience in VLSI design.
- Experience in scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, Shell, or Python.
- Experience with front-end design tools, such as lint, CDC, RDC, or simulation tools.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with CAD flow development.
- Experience with ML algorithms or AI application development.
- Experience with HDL design languages (e.g. Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL).
- Experience with full life cycle of software development.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing CAD flows or tools for custom SoCβs built for Google Made Devices. You will work with designers to understand their needs and build efficient solutions that scale across multiple projects and nodes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$223,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. - Develop front-end CAD tools and flows for Google Silicon SoC projects in various domains (RTL generation, design verification, AI-enabled CAD flows, design QA and release management, license operation and optimization, etc.).
- Work with design teams to understand requirements and enable scalable solutions.
- Work across functional domains to enable development and validation of CAD flows.
- Drive EDA vendors to improve their tools to deliver custom solutions for Google.
