The People & Program Operations team comprises trusted consultants to our People Partners and the business leaders at Roku. We are responsible for all aspects of the employee's journey while working at Roku, from onboarding through payroll to implementing, administering, and evolving compensation and benefits programs across Roku globally.
We are looking for a People Operations Coordinator (HR Operations Coordinator) to join us in Bangaluru, India. We seek someone to join our global team as we scale and improve operational support for our current employees and develop innovative solutions for our rapid business growth globally. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with global experience in HR operations, Payroll, and Benefits support. Reporting to the Manager of People Operations is a 'hands-on' position that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to look around corners, and skills to support our global processes and expansion projects.
This role is truly global; you will need to have an operational and global mindset. In this role, the ideal candidate will assist in implementing and administrating scalable HR processes, policies, and practices for most countries where the company operates. The candidate must maintain detailed knowledge of assigned HR, Benefits, and Payroll programs within the regions they support and assist employee inquiries via the company's case management tool. The candidate will be an escalation point, collaborating with cross-functional partners across other Centres of Excellence (COEs) and vendors to support employee needs.
It would help if you were a strong problem solver and self-starter who can drive processes and operational support with little guidance. The successful candidate will display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.
• Manage the department's Service Desk, handling inquiries and cases from all company locations globally.
• Support ad-hoc requests for employee data changes and generation of Workday reports.
• Review, audit, correct, and report employment data through different HR tools, both internal and external, to Roku, ensuring data accuracy across different platforms.
• Serve as the primary presenter for the company's new hire orientation sessions, delivering essential information and fostering a welcoming environment for new employees.
• Support the offboarding program by assisting with employment actions and providing exit information to departing employees.
• Support the creation of employment letters such as employment verification, business travel, and invitation letters.
• Manage the company’s personnel files by uploading and maintaining employee folders within Workday.
• Assist in completing statutory compliance actions such as report filings and audits.
• Support HR projects as needed, focusing on learning and growth. Projects may include improving Workday and supporting global expansion.
• Build and foster internal relationships with the Benefits, Payroll, and People Business Partner team.
• Bachelor's degree requires a minimum of 3 years of work experience in HR Operations.
• High-tech industry experience preferred.
• Experience supporting HR Operations in the Americas (AMER) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) preferred.
• Fluency in English is a must; other languages are advantageous, i.e., Dutch, German, Danish, and Portuguese.
• Advanced experience and expertise using Microsoft Suite and Workday.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly evolving business environment, adaptable to change.
• Perform well under pressure, multi-task, and work independently and as a part of a team.
• Flexible and able to quickly change course when the needs of the business and our team shift direction or accelerate delivery.
• You love to help shape dynamic and scalable processes.
• Comfortable handling highly confidential employee data regularly
