Job summary
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our application security team and help create clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for products including UltraDDoS Protect and UltraWAF. These services provide critical protection against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, malicious traffic, and web application threats.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and support teams to understand how these products work and how customers use them—then translate that understanding into documentation that supports successful implementation and usage. You'll contribute to a range of content including user guides, release notes, API documentation, and troubleshooting resources.
What you will do
- Create and maintain technical documentation for DigiCert’s application security products, including how-to guides, feature overviews, FAQs, and support materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical details, workflows, and use cases
- Participate in product demos, engineering discussions, and sprint reviews to stay informed on upcoming changes and releases
- Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with DigiCert’s product and content standards
- Help define content structure and improve documentation processes and tooling as the product suite evolves
- Assist in managing and publishing content in version-controlled or CMS-based environments
What you will have
- 1+ years of experience in technical writing, product documentation, or a related technical communication role
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- A collaborative working style and the ability to navigate technical discussions with confidence and curiosity
- Familiarity with tools such as Markdown, Git, HTML, Confluence, or similar
- An interest in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, English, or a related field—or equivalent work experience
Nice to have
- Experience writing for security-focused products, especially DDoS mitigation or WAF solutions
- Exposure to networking, application security, or SaaS platforms
- Experience creating or editing developer-facing documentation (e.g., APIs, SDKs, integration guides)
- Familiarity with agile development environments and software release cycles
