About the opportunity
We are hiring a Senior data analyst to join and become a key member of the EU Markets team. You will work closely with the Strategy & Operations and Reporting teams.
On the business side, you will support in developing actionable analyses to support the growth and efficiency of N26 in the European core markets. On the regulatory side, you will have the opportunity to develop data models that will be used for reporting to Regulators and Authorities. You will be in contact with the main suppliers to structure reporting flows and will contribute to the growth of one of the most important functions of the bank.
In this role you will have the opportunity to exchange your experience with the international team composed of data analysts and regulatory reporting officers from different markets/countries. Being part of the markets team that is still developing, you will have the opportunity to give your professional contribution for data and business foundations.
In this role you will:
Match regulatory requirements to the data which is living in our DWH
Build and automate data models for the scope of regulatory reporting
Do data profiling, finding the right data, requesting missing data, etc.
Conduct data quality investigation
Define, build and maintain processes that deliver crucial data to internal and external stakeholders
Contact with external providers for data and tech issues
Automate everything what is possible, learn about regulator reports principles
Maintain your work well documented, reproducible and reliable
Conduct analysis and develop actionable insights to further fuel business growth as well as operational optimization and excellence
What you need to be successful:
Background
Minimum 5 years experience working with data
Fluent in French and English
Skills
Advanced SQL Skills: Expert-level proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and performance optimization.
Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, CTEs, and window functions.
Strong understanding of database normalization, indexing, and query performance tuning.
DBT (Data Build Tool) Knowledge (optional but beneficial); Proficiency with dbt for transforming, testing, and documenting data pipelines; Experience in building dbt models; Knowledge of dbt best practices, such as modularity, reusability, and testing of data models.
Programming Languages (optional but beneficial); Experience in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation of data workflows.
Version Control: Familiarity with Git for version control, especially within dbt and SQL code management.
