You’ll be an expert within legal operations, someone who is very familiar with the dynamics of how an in-house legal team works. You’ll be a data-driven professional who is accustomed to working with metrics when taking decisions and relying on KPIs to gauge efficiency. The ideal candidate would be adept at working cross-functionally and will have strong communication skills in order to exert influence and prompt change in other parts of the organisation when necessary. As the first Legal Operations Associate at Tide, your role will have a global remit and you will have the opportunity to define and drive strategic and operational solutions to improve overall Legal team performance.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Collect, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency and effectiveness of the Legal team.
  • Assisting in the selection, implementation, and management of legal technology solutions (e.g. contract management systems, request intake portals, risk management systems).
  • Supporting privacy operations (e.g. e-discovery in the context of data subject access and erasure requests, following-up on remediation actions after data breach incidents).
  • Maintaining an adequate and up to date contract repository, legal risk register, backlog of legal work, etc.
  • Building and maintaining data dashboards and reports on legal team performance.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritise, deliver and track the statuses of legal deliverables.
  • Coordinating the delivery of trainings and awareness campaigns across the business and within the Legal team.
  • Monitoring legal spend and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Coordinating external counsel management and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of legal advice.
  • Organising operational and in-person events for the Legal team - including socials!

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a minimum 4+ years of experience in project management and/or designing, implementing and improving legal processes.
  • You are an innovative thinker with a passion for driving efficiency through optimisation.
  • You’re organised, pragmatic and capable of leading cross-functional collaboration; we’re after someone who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty and remove any blockers that might be on the critical path to smoother legal processes.
  • You enjoy both collaborating in teams and providing individual contribution.
  • You have strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • You are eager to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business setting.
  • You are proactive with a can-do attitude, taking ownership of resolving issues.
  • You have exceptional organisational skills and thrive on juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have meticulous attention to detail.
  • You’re comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change and processes may need to be created from scratch
  • Previous experience of working with legal operations or a law degree is preferable but not essential.
