Job Description

Senior Data Analysts at Thoughtworks collect, process and analyze large datasets to provide valuable insights and support informed decision-making for our clients. They are responsible for the strategy, implementation, productionization and articulation of business impact. They collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. They stay up-to-date with industry advancements, ensure data quality and security, and actively mentor other Thoughtworkers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Job responsibilities

  • You will perform data extraction and modeling to generate insights and make recommendations for the business
  • You will support the definition and construction of KPIs that best represent the business performance of our clients, assisting in decision-making processes
  • You will work on the development and maintenance of strategic dashboards, reports and KPIs
  • You will use storytelling practices for effective dashboard construction
  • You will build solutions and validate hypotheses through comprehensive data analysis
  • You will design, conduct and measure both qualitative and quantitative research
  • You will create proposals and conduct A/B tests
  • You will conduct ad-hoc studies as needed
  • You will connect with stakeholders to understand database structures, apply necessary business rules and share analysis methods and methodologies

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

  • You have experience in analytics and business intelligence projects
  • You have expertise in self-service BI tools, i.e.: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.
  • You have proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • You have strong data visualization practices with relevant tools
  • You have proficiency in database management, either relational or non-relational
  • You have advanced knowledge in SQL, Python or R
  • You have ability to clean, prepare and analyze big data, both structured and unstructured
  • You have exploratory, qualitative and quantitative analysis skills
  • You have experience with research techniques and satisfaction indicators
  • You have ability to identify patterns, actionable insights and relationships in data

Professional Skills

  • You have great stakeholder management skills and you are able to build rapport and gain buy-in from clients and key stakeholders.
  • You are a great problem solver, thrive in ambiguity, tackle challenges from various angles and embrace risk management
  • You have a data-driven approach, seeking opportunities to leverage data for efficiency and value, and actively collaborate to drive data-based decisions
  • You are a great communicator and have the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • You are a team player and actively collaborate with colleagues and other teams
  • You are eager to coach, mentor and motivate others and you aspire to influence teammates to take positive action and accountability for their work
