Fraud Investigator

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for analyzing customer applications and transaction activity for indications of first and third-party fraud.
• Regularly investigate individual fraud events to perform root cause analyses and surface insights to key stakeholders across risk, product, and engineering teams to refine risk policies.
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices across risk operations.
• Identity areas of opportunity to improve procedures, processes, and tools.
• Complete documentation with the highest level of quality, accuracy and attention to detail in accordance with Flex’s procedures and regulatory guidelines
• Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to other members of the Risk Department and other management
• Contribute to key projects and initiatives as necessary

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience within the financial services industry, specifically within the risk operations space.
• Strong understanding of fraud schemes, fraud prevention, and fraud detection/review platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York Headquarters.

For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $85,000-96,000
