Principal Software Engineer

Are you excited by the prospect of building identity and cybersecurity services at cloud scale? Microsoft operates thousands of internal Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) tenants that enable our workforce to develop, monitor, and test Microsoft’s software and services. The Identity and Access Management Protect (IAM Protect) team builds, secures, and manages these tenants, to empower our employees and our customers to achieve more. We develop the solutions to fully automate tenant creation, configuration, security, and inventory.

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to help architect and design the tools and solutions to manage Entra ID tenants at scale. This role will draw deeply upon your expertise in Entra and Azure technologies, ability to design for scale, and aptitude to mentor and share your knowledge within and across teams. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of security at Microsoft and leveraging your insights to protect Microsoft services and customers, while guiding and leading a group of skilled security software engineers.
