About the team
NACF Finance is broken up into Network Teams and Central Teams.
NACF Finance Network Teams:
- Amazon Robotics Sortable (ARS): ARSs are highly-productive FCs where the items are stored in AR Pods moved by robots to the associate's position, hence the associate does not need to walk to pick the product. The primary functions of an ARS is to receive the items, stow and then pick them from the robotic floor where they are stored and pack them to ship.
- Traditional Sortable, Soft Lines (TSSL): TSSL is a type of fulfillment center that handles certain types of products, such as traditional sortables (books, CDs, etc), soft lines (apparel and shoes), custom merchandise, and dangerous goods.
- Traditional Non-Sortable (TNS): A TNS FC focuses on items larger than a yellow tote (18"x14"x8") but does not require special handling. Non-Sorts generally have less automation due to larger product. They have lower volume and less people but more variability in product and processes.
- Reverse Logistics (ReLo): ReLo teams manage the systems and flow of goods which travel in the opposite direction of typical fulfillment. These systems complete the customer retail experience and capture/recover value by finding the most optimal disposal opportunity.
- Inbound Cross Dock (IXD): A second distribution tier where Amazon aggregates demand to a subset of facilities that receive the products on behalf of Amazon FCs – lowering downstream handling costs – and can distribute to individual FCs at a unit-level, ensuring network-wide inventory distribution even for products for which Amazon only wishes to order a single carton.
NACF Finance Central Teams:
- These teams include variable cost and financial planning & analysis (VFP&A), which deliver financial reporting of operational performance to equip operations to achieve financial targets for the US Customer Fulfillment (USCF) Network, the finance and accounting central team (FACT), which focus on fixed cost planning, actuals analysis and reporting, and fixed cost controllership for NACF, and the capacity finance team, which strategically positions capital investments in a manner that maximizes long term value for Amazon.- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field- 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
