About the team
The Renewals Team focuses on facilitating contract renewals at Stripe, ensuring we protect our margins and grow our revenue base. We partner with sales on the analytical and advisory aspects of a renewal, including identifying upcoming renewals, determining historical consumption and pricing, positioning value, surfacing upsell/cross-sell opportunities and helping close deals with good outcomes for Stripe and the user.
What you’ll do
The Renewals Programs Manager will partner with the Global Head of Renewals, Head of Global CS and Product Sales, global sales leaders, Sales Strategy & Operations, Customer Success and internal partners to define, manage and execute programs to retain and expand user revenue. We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguous global-scale programs, with multi-layered stakeholder management and significant cross-functional team engagement. The ideal candidate will: (1) have worked in a hypergrowth technology/GTM org or comes from a strategic consulting background, (2) has superior communication skills to work across senior stakeholders across different functions, and (3) thrives when solving complex problems with limited oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Establish an overarching program model to support the growth of the renewals business, including feedback loops and iteration
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Stripe levels and functions
- Develop global policies and governance to ensure consistency, gaps, and actions for the renewals business
- Create and operationalize key programs including around adoption, product attach, pricing constructs
- Rigorously focus on continuous improvements in progress and programs that drive renewals performance
- Regularly review external trends and approaches to drive optimal renewals outcomes; driving strong renewals plays
Who you are

Minimum requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in strategy & operations, product strategy, product management, or similar roles at technology companies
- Experience working in highly cross-functional settings, and in a role that spans strategy, analysis, and operations in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in data analytics with some experience navigating large data sets and/or SQL
- Strong program management skills with experience managing end-to-end execution of projects/programs that have transformed their company’s operations and delivered quantifiable business impact
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the the ability to speak to leaders across different teams, such as partnerships, product, engineering, and sales
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in influence without authority environments
- An ability to execute with minimal guidance, and in contexts with a high degree of ambiguity
- Critical thinking and first-principles thinking (e.g., ability to question how we are working rather than simply executing), and the ability to zoom out to the most important questions
- Experience facilitating large meetings with a strong focus on goals and outcomes
Preferred qualifications:
- Exposure to working with Enterprise users and/or bringing Products upmarket
- Experience driving creative solutions with, and effectively informing the roadmap of, cross-functional teams
- Ability to understand the implications of Stripe ships such as product features, policy changes, and marketing outreach on the user experience and resulting support experience
- Payments ecosystem or Enterprise software experience is a plus
- Prior experience with Salesforce, Contract Lifecycle Management tools
